This is the first time I think, it is worth to contribute.

I am trying to switch employer. The job title and job description is similar what written in my I140. At least 75% job duties are included in new job duties. But none of new employers where I found employment ready to write job duties. What is the other way to show that I am doing similar job duties. Should I keep scree shot of JOB add? Any idea.
Also my current EAD will expire in Aug,2011 I have to file extension in April. Employer asks if extension is denied... How to explain new employers.
If job title is exactly same as written in I140/labour does it still require to show job duties written by employer to USICS.

I was and am against Sunny Surya's PD porting post but he has not been uncouth. I understand your opposition to any of his posts but please refrain from any more bickering...

thanks a lot guyz for all ur replies. My only concern is can they claim the GC expenses(lawyer fee and advertisement costs involved in PERM filing) as the expenses they incurred because of me leaving the company if they file a law suit using non compete. There is no other expense relocation, training or another kind of expense that company has incurred for me(not a single penny except h1b filing). and one more thing i want to let u know is that i am workign with the same client just changed my h1b to PF. Will that be a trouble??? As i have already mentioned earlier in the agreement of company A with PF when i joined the company clearly specifies that PF can take me immediately upon my termination with company A.

I have recently been talking to members who have already filed I485 and have used AC21 to change jobs. I noted some limitations people face while changing jobs, getting higher salaries, making use of AC21 for changing more than 1 job.. etc etc.
It seems there is lack of information on this subject. Let us use this thread to
- share expeiences
- List issues you have all faced so that IV can have this information while working on advocay efforts.
- Make others aware of your problems and do's and don'ts in the community.
- Interpretation of various lawyers on this and how they have helped you solve your difficult situations.

yea...you are right...it seems they are not processing anything today..
Also i heard that on June 4 th approx 1100 485 apps was receipted. That makes it approx a total of 1800 for jun 1 and 4.
What is the source of the updates/information you have posted.

whats funny in that. As you said it is just a prediction...
The guy Affirmatively said "It will be June 2002" and gave me red because the dates i gave were behind , Ithought it was funny because we are all playing the prediction game.....
I am thinking if I should i start a game to predict the dates, and who ever gets closest date will get few greens..... ;)

Sorry if I am posting on wrong thread. I am in the process of sending my documents for EAD renewal and had few questions
Do we need to include a cover letter ?
Also I am sending the following documents.
1) copy I-485 receipt notice
2) copy of EAD (front and back)
3) two color photos
4) Filing fee check $340
5) Mailer stub received from previous EAD.
Am I missing anything else?
A cover letter even though not required, is always a good idea. Do mention in bold that you want the new EAD to start from mm/dd/yy which is when your current one expires, otherwise it could start from the approval date and you could lose 2-3 months. I'd keep the cover letter short, just 2-3 lines plus doc list.

Dont bark at not donating, will donate if this issue is given serious consideration as well.
Getting sick of this movement in dates.
Illegal guy in US makes more money & without any hassle.
Trying to stay legally hurts very much for the past 9 years.
Atleast they should allow to pre-file I-485 so that atleast guys like me (when we missed july 2007 race) can just file and complete the verification process in I-485.
Dont bark at not donating, will donate if this issue is given serious consideration as well.

I am also frustated with GC process. It is literally controlling my life...
I don't want to go India because not sure whether I would get Visa or not. I don't want to join some prime vendor company because not sure whether they would start GC process immediately or not, and vendor could terminate the job immediately after contract expiration or any other issue. As everyone knows that desi employers are blood suckers and on top of it H1B extensions are very tough to get with them. I was almost on edge of leaving the country on my last extension.
With desi employer, It looks to me that my career goal is only GC. I don't know when I get that and I am sure that my goals will be none after getting GC because I would be exhausted by then....

Just wanted to let you guyz know that i have Used "Automatic Visa Revalidation Rule" for entering US from Canada, there were Issues at all, i entered US through
Peace Bridge.
I am planning to Visit Canada again, and wanna use "AVR"
but did u land in canada for immigration purposes? with ur AOS pending iN US?

If I am lucky enough I can make upto 70-80years of my age maximum, considering my age now, I might live another 30-35yrs. Just imagine what life we want, I completely agree what points you mentioned below. But you are forgetting the insidents we read in news media every day. I almost find atleast one incident where people are killed just for money........what if our fate is not good, and we encounter such situation???
So there is are many factors that effect our life on both sides of the globe !
I just visited last month. I stayed there for 6 weeks...
Agree that economy is booking but....
(1) too much pollution.
(2) No infrastructure to handle cars and two wheeleers.
(3) too much mosquito even in winter/summer. I do not know what will happen in rainy days.
(4) prices for every item have gone up by 3X..Most of the item I am not able to justify the rise. The quality of the product has not gone up.
(5) easy to set up business..get house...get car but tough to drive peacefully...need to pray god every morning so that we come back home with 2 hands and 2 legs and unbroken body parts.
(6) Club culture is booming too...so if you have daughter who is teen then need to check by that angle too.
Just my two cents....
